G2 Strange Event - No CD Required!
 

Something odd is happening here. I updated to the latest version of G2 a few days ago.

Last night I clicked on my shortcut to G2, and the program loaded up. Then I noticed that the CD drawer was open!

I've run G2 about 6 times since then, even changed planes and skins with no problem, with no CD in the drive.

I like it! But I can't explain it.

I was on Knige edge website and saw this too. Apparently they changed the "security" on the system so now it will only ask to see the CD randomly.

I have not updated yet, because I was concerned about other "bugs" that sometimes arise when G2 is updated. Right now mine works fine, and I hate to screw up a good thing.

Has anyone else updated, or heard of new problems from an update?

If I go to the help page, and click on "about" it says the version number is 2.00.518

It has been running great, and seems to load faster than normal.

I downloaded the latest version a couple of weeks ago, and have not had any problems. I love not having to run the CD all the time. Also, the newest version corrected the problem I was having with the starting point for takeoff changing.
