Realistic FMS Sim models
I have downloaded a lot of Planes for FMS and would like to know which ones are the most realistic. Some of them seem to be just pics of planes that will do anything around any axis of the plane regardless of the throttle setting, while others fly like a lead weight. :(
I would like to know which ones seem the most "lifelike" (and where you got them) from you pilots that have flown some of these planes for real and in FMS. I am especially interested in the 3d and funfly type planes, but any comments on the realism of any of the planes or heli's would be appreciated. :D |

I can't speak with great authority here, as I haven't flown THAT many real models, but the SilkyWind 400 flys on the sim like a similar plane I've actually flown. I've downloaded the diablotin and that thing could NEVER be right, the Spit I've downloaded glides WAY too much for a warbird.... can't think of the other that are good or bad right now

The heli flies about like the real thing. I dont think the airplanes fly too well. I have a bunch of "3D" models But they all seem floaty.
But Hey It Free, What more can you ask for? Later Chris |

i am also VERY interested in finding some aerobatic airplanes that handle more realistically. I just don't have the money to get RealFlight but there must be some decent planes out there for FMS right?
What i would really like is a good FunFly plane or something like an Extra, Cap, Giles, Edge, Laser, etc. Some of the planes fly reasonably well, but they all seem to be very unrealistic when it comes to 3D flight, which is what i want to experiment with. If anybody finds an aerobatic model that seems "right" please let us know!! |

download the cap 222 and the 232..
FMS is pretty good but . the takeoffs are not real, the physics on most of the planes are not accurate (they float down too slow). The cap models are not bad but they don't tip stall whatsoever. That's the problem. The whole point of learning on a sim is to have it right.. You can basically pull hard up elevator and the cap will go straight up even a part throttle.. I wish they flew like that for real. hehe.. If i tried that with my cap close to the ground like in fms I would be taking it home in a basket. |

Hello Folks,
I just posted this in a thread concerning an interface for FMS. It is a website that shows you how to make a Parallel port interface so you can use your radio to control FMS. It costs about $10 in parts from radio shack and it works great with my Futaba Super 8. Hope this helps you guys and gals out. Glen http://net-express.com/nexus/fmsinterface.html |

This is the best place for planes. He seems to update a lot. I downloaded every funfly he had. The do seem a little unrealistic especially landings (too easy, no bounce). The blue Buckman Jungmiester flies exactly like my flight instructors (that's what he says). The Fluyd listed above does seem a lot more realistic to me. Tip stalls and everything. Go through the downloads on that site and you will find something that works.

Thanks |

I spent some time trying to find the most realistic of the FMS models. I couldn't find the 10 10 220 biplane but I did find the Buckman Jungmeister. I have it as a zipped file for those that want it. Just send me an email
