Default Difference between 10% and 15 % fuel

Is there any really noticeable difference between 10% and !15% nitro fuel.

Looking at buying Wildcat fuel at the Toledo airshow and was wondering if the difference in price being $2.00 a gallon between the 2 was worth it,

10% $11.00/ gallon
15% $13.00/gallon

Can't see a REAL difference myself considering I just fly for FUN. BUT the last time I bought fuel (6 months ago) the difference between the 2 fuels you cited and ANYTHING I could get here was ABOUT $15.00 - $17.00!!! I wish all I had to worry about was a COUPLE BUCKS. LOL

Your prices do seem very low! We're about $16/18 for 10% and 15% respectively.

I like 15 %. I fly at a relatively high altitude of 5500 feet and it definitely provides more power than 10%. In addition, I feel I get a much better idle (both slower and more reliable). That's not to say 10% won't work.

I did some recent test runs with my Thunder Tiger .46 running on 15% and then 5% nitro. I didnt see a discernable difference in RPM numbers between the two fuels. Really, all you should need is 5% nitro.

I usually buy my fuel at Toledo every spring.

I had been buying 10% for several years but last year, I bought 10% and plan to buy 10% this year.

The performance difference between 10 and 15% is not so noticable but the price gets your attention.

I think 10% is more cost effective

Thanks for the replys !!!

I'll go with the 10%. When buying 10-12 cases (2 years supply) the difference in price does add up. Helps to offset the drive to Toledo to attend the show and buy the fuel.

Thanks again
