Default Cutting fuel

I have several cases of 15% nitro fuel and would like to reduce some of it to a lower nitro level. Is there any reason I can't simply mix half a gallon of my 15% fuel with an appropriate amount of castor/synthetic oil and alcohol (the kind used in glow fuel) to make a gallon of 7.5% nitro fuel? I would be cutting the other additives in half as well..... anti-foaming additives, coloring, or whatever. Will this work?

It'll work just fine. Mix up a batch of zero nitro fuel as though you were going to use that instead and go for it. Don't worry about the additives.
