Hi!

Can C-P HELI 15% be mixed with C-P FAI (83% Met & 17% Syn)?

What´s the difference b/w C-P HELI 15% and C-P 15% (what´s so special in "HELI" wording)?

I´m gonna use that HELI 15% in my AIRPLANE engine - what´s gonna happen....I hope, nothing terrible.. ?

Yep, C-P 15% not available @ LHS - only C-P 15 HELI, and seller said it´s the same thing ?

Many thanks in advance for your replies.

Brgrds, Peter.

Yes, CoolPower 15% Airplane and CoolPower 15% Heli is the same fuel. The only difference is the little 'Heli' sticker. Morgan puts it there because some Heli pilots are so anal they won't put airplane fuel in their Eggbeaters.
If you mix equal amounts 15%cp and 0%FAI you'll get 7.5% nitro and 17% oil fuel.
If you put Heli fuel into an airplane the plane wants to hover over the runway.

I've said it here before but I'll say it again...how does a company get away with calling a fuel with 83% methanol and 17% synthetic oil an FAI fuel???

Because (silly us!) somehow, in the States, "FAI fuel" has become synonymous with "No Nitro" fuel. It's not logical, it just is.

Yes Bax, I figured that. But it's one thing for the average modeller to call zero nitro "FAI" and quite another for an actual manufacturer to advertise it as such. Isn't that false advertising? Or lack of knowledge about what constitutes a particular fuel? In their blurb on their home page they say "Morgan Fuel has been the official fuel of the World Championships since 1980." Rubbish. If that were the case then everyone using it in certain events that require an FAI fuel should have been disqualified and any records set should be disallowed.

Sorry about the rant but advertising like that gives credence to incorrect facts. No wonder some guys get confused
