Adding Castor to Cool power
I'm about to break in my new Saito 56. I have some Cool Power 10% which is only 17%. Saito says to use atleast 20% lube in their engines. I know alot of you add castor to your fuel. So if I did my math right. I need to add 3.84 oz of castor to the gallon of the Cool Power to bring it up to 20% total lube. Then my next question is were can I get some castor. I dont know anybody that sells Koltz around here. Can I use to castor oil from the drug store.. Is it the same? Thanks, JT

OIL
The same hobby shop that sold you your Morgan Fuel product (Coolpower) can sell you castor oil, coolpower synthetic oil, or their 70/30 castor blend.
http://www.morganfuel.com/homebrew.htm FHS sells a racing castor oil and other types of 2 stroke methanol compatible oils. http://members.aol.com/FHSoil/FHSbrochure.html THis website sells Klotz benol racing castor and is what I used in the past. Any hobby or kart racing store should be able to get Klotz oils. http://www.prop-shop.com/FEFUEL.HTM http://gcbmrc.com/klotz_lubricants.htm http://www.wahlracing.com/lubricants...park_plugs.htm http://www.pro-flo.com/klotz_oils.htm |
Adding Castor to Cool power
What I've decided to do.With help from Homebrewer. Is to add 4 oz of Klotz K-100 Techinplate lube with the Cool Power. The K-100 is a sny mix which has 80% syn and 20% pure benol castor. Should give me what I'm looking for to bring the lube up to par for the Saito. Tower carries it . Thanks ,JT
