Does anyone know the receipt for rc glow fuel for airplanes like 15 to 20 % nitro and about 15 % oil. Lookin for the receipt so i can make cheaper nitro fuel.

I mixed my own fuel for years to save money....

....15% nitro, 10% Klotz, 5% castor bean oil, the rest
methanol....worked like a champ.... :D

Now mind you, I was using it in ringed, sport, .60
engines....If I was to mix for ABC type motors for
break-in, and hot weather use....I would bump up the
bean to 7 or 8%. If I was mixing for a racing or high
performance motor, I'd mix 10% Klotz and 10% bean.

If you want to use my mix, you must specify Klotz
"original techniplate" oil....and the castor bean oil
are available at a motorcycle shop.

The methanol and nitromethane will probably have
to be purchased from a hotrod fuel supplier. You will
have to do a search to find out where you can get the
stuff locally.

If you cannot go and pick up the stuff locally....and
have to have it shipped....the Haz-Mat charges will
kill you, and it probably wouldn't be economical.
