What would be the coolest new 1/5th scale rc?
So what do you think? I think Traxxas need's to make a 5th scale Revo, I know alot are sick of the revo chassis, but I think do it in 5th scale and all other's will pale in comparison. I could see a big brutish Revo running @#$% over! That would be sick.

an SC with solid rear axle and IFS and an MT with solid axles front and rear is what I want to see, hurrax already have a revo pushrod set up prototype buggy they've been testing in Germany, probably see it sometime in 2011 if testing goes well

Well a buggy is fine, But I personaly would like to see the Revo, not some knock off, not some buggy! The Revo. Knowing Traxxas they would do it right! And it could compete with the other gasser MT I bet! Although it might take like 2 year's to release it[&o] Givin the wonderful track record Traxxas has bout pushing back release date's. Hell Traxxas would even find a way to put reverse on the thing. Regardless of how tired and used the chassis is, largescale's are gaining popularity and Traxxas need's a decent 5th scaler and not that monster buggy rubbish either!
Sorry I didn't know my baja would go thru your garage door!

nutech have a tvp chassis coming soon in the XT5, looks just like a big savage. I'm with Lars but not the body thing, every largescale rc has independant suspension, which is fine but you can only do so much with it design wise and I think we've reached saturation point....I know solid axles are considered ancient and old news but all SC's use them, pick ups, jeeps, crawlers, nascar, drag cars, etc so still lots of applications and it would add a bit more realism, give a different driving experience and open up opportunity for many new designs...

I'd take anything that isn't a clone of a clone of clone of a clone at this point.
Also, something that actually is available would be nice too. The 1/5 scale side of things seems to be taken over by news of products that may or may not get released, and when they do you have to bend over backwards to find a dealer. Too much hype and not enough delivery.

i want to see a 1/5 scale monster truck, with 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steering. it has to use a true monster truck style chassis, massive tires and be able to pull a wheely! so then i could make my own mini monster jam video!

More onroads and onroad bodies.
Also I would like for a solid axle MT with with tires that look like fg bigfoots but a little more ballooned. Real beefy lookin. And I want a ride thats so bouncy. Like a giant ClodBuster on petrol.

some dude was building a big digger on you tube with a conley in it...not sure if he ever finished it but the craftsmanship was phenomenal.
I'm not sure that HPI will ever build a 4wd 5thscale...if I was to put money on it either way then I'd have to put my cash on they'll never make one...if they're following the fg business plan(seem to be going the same way just putting a couple bits and a different body on the same ol chassis) maybe we'll get one in another 15yrs or so

Yea I agree, Im sick of seeing clones. Is it so hard to be original? But I guess in the RC world it's all just about been done.

Yea Moo, he did finish it and I saw him in one of my issues of Rc Driver, He was at Diggers Dungeon with it at an event being held there, like the rc world MT final's. And man it look's sweet! The Big tire's he made by hand by bonding strip's of rubber to the tire for the chevron's. He started with lawn tractor tire's and ended up with a convincing set of MT tire's. You can still find him on youtube also showing the finished truck.

RE: What would be the coolest new 1/5th scale rc?
The HPI 5B platform did something transformative in the market. It took 1/5 scale into the mainstream and beyond. I wouldn't even have considered a 1/5 scale until I got my hands on my first Baja.
Most of the stuff is just ho-hum. Really expensive stuff with no parts support or cloned stuff of mostly par-subpar quality.
Ask yourself, why was the 5B so revolutionary?
The scale appearance for one. It was the first 1/5 scale that didn't look like a down syndrome buggy. It had scale proportions. I never understood why designers always made the 1/5 scale buggies so 'bubbly'.

Would be nice to see more scale. The cars are the trucks are limited.Get away from the monster truck era,and build out of the box.
