Default Looking at buying a Rovan, which one?

I'm looking at the 26cc Rovan and the 30.5cc 2 speed Rovan. I would asssume the 30.5 would be alot faster on the top end with the 2 speed. If the motors aren't that reliable, I could get the 26cc and save 200 bucks and put that toward a new motor when needed. But then I would lose the two speed. Decision, Decisions!

Personally i would go with the 30.5 2 speed
If you have the money to get a 2nd hpi do it the standard parts are alot stonger but as most upgrade there bajas in the end you will probally replace half the parts anyway lol (trust its a addiction!)
2 of my friends run KMs and dont have many problems with them all at think the clone parts are starting to get abit better now tbh
The 2 strokes engines look after there self they just need a little maintaince etc

Just make sure you have plenty of room to run and understanding neighbours

enjoy it m8

I would buy the 26cc version. That's the one I just bought and it's PLENTY fast......

Are you guys having any durability problems with the Rovan or KM version of the 5B? I also heard that some of the parts that they are using now are built stronger. I'm looking at one for dirt oval action not off-road or jumping.

I've heard problems with the rovan 2 speed. THere was a guy here that did a review of the Rovan Baja 30cc with 2 speed. He had somewhat of a rough time. search for it in the forums.

I'm beating the heck out of my 26cc Rovan I recently got from Dan. So far only had a couple small issues and that's it. No major failures of any type and it runs quite well. I'm VERY happy with my purchase......

I'm only looking at the 26cc because of class rules.
Thank you for the reply
By the way... who is Dan. I rather buy from someone with a good reputation.
Thanks again

Dan is one of the most reputable sellers of King Motor and Rovan products.

His ebay stores are Rovan Rc and King Motor RC. He's on all the forums selling KM and Rovan stuff. Everyone that deals with him likes him. I have bought several things from him in the last couple weeks and he always ships fast and answers all my emails promptly and he has great customer service.

Here are some of his ebay ads where you can click to his ebay stores:

Well I ordered my Rovan Baja 5b 26cc from RovanRc on Friday, I hope to get it this week. I trying to decide if I should use the radio that comes with it or use my Hitec aggressor.
