I know we have all been wanting a 1/5th savage, but if its a xl with a gas motor I'm gonna be let down.

1/8 petrol is gonna suck i reckon not a big enough size to deal with a 2 stroke engine the weight of the engine alone would overtip a savage lol

It's going to be an 1/8th scale, so please continue this topic in the ( small crappy car ) section as it does not belong in ( GIANT SCALE ).[>:]

I said something about this to will happen a while back
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_10..._1/key_/tm.htm Looks like instead of a 1/5 it will be 1/8 which I think is a better idea !

You predicted that other manufacturers would get on board with 1/5 scale. This is still HPI releasing another gasser. Did I read the wrong prediction?

Elven Wizard's Prediction's : I think in time you will see something released from Traxxas, Losi, and AE. First it will be from Traxxas. Hpi will have something new and not a 5b or 5t 4wd but a HPI 1/5 scale 4WD truck. I think it will be in less than 5 yrs time this will all happen.
If you read past the Traxxas part I mentioned Hpi. If you would of just moved your eyeballs a little bit further to the right, you would of read it. Just a little bit more. You were almost there. Please reread and give the other manufacturer a chance to bring out there 1/5 scale's. Hello, [X(] were still in a down economy.

This was posted in the hpi section and i did a little hunting and found a pic of it from hpi's own website.

And the pic of said 1/8th scale truck. You can clearly see it on the right with the spark plug wire and larger tires + body.

i think i found my next mt if that is the case...I actually enjoy 1/8th scale MTs a lot more than 1/5ths... Just I hate the 8min run time of a nitro. This product is perfect for me. hopefully the engine is good. Because the Savage line has its chassis and drivetrain completely ironed out. After owning a Savage Flux I have complete confidence in the Savage Model.

My guess the gasser could be 7.5cc
