Since I sold my clones this Losi is definitely going to be added to my collection as soon as it hits the shelves....... :-)

And I won't have to hear no more smack talk from people about me owning clones because this Losi is all new and TOTALLY different from any other platform out there!

i will guarantee that on anything other than a manicured groomed track and a cautious driver this thing will fall apart.
imo it looks just like an fs truck without the red parts.
and whats with the sideways engine?
pipe out the side? say goodbye to the body on that side.
losi is not and never will be again what it once was.

They sure do win a lot of races in 1/8 scale to be so bad.

Wow just finish looking at the videos of this beast it handles well. Can you imagin what kind of performance you will get out of it with some of the hot modified motors currently on the market?? The chassis is inovative too with the setting motor inline instead of sideways.

$1,600 ouch!

I wonder how different it is than HPI's 5T in performance...

I hate it that all the companies seems to be fighting with a final size and design, I feel its making a bad intro to what it should have already been in the race world.
You have associated with a 1/8, traxxas with a 1/10, HPI with a 1/5 2wd and now Losi with a 1/5 4wd. Who seen that one coming...
But seriously, its like a huge slap in the face to everyone that has already invested in one or the other when sanctions decide on a particular type to standardized a race series platform in the gas/nitro arena. It makes the hobby scatter at a time when we need to be able to come together.

.........Soon I hope another choice for 4wd would be great. I wonder if Losi got the idea for inline engine placment from Ferox??

I am surprised Losi did not make a 2 speed for this truck. Some aftermarket manufactor well I suppose.

no the engine placement in the losi is just like a 1/8th scales engine placement. The losi is an enlarged 8ight.

Transverse layout should be interesting with the kind of torque we expect from some of these engines. Gonna have mad torque steer, seems like a backward step to me, but hey ho, at least it gets rid of some additional drivetrain.

...........Yes you are right Sherv that is what Losi stated. However looking at the Ferox due to the similarity makes me wonder if they may have been influnced by their design too. The Ferox design is different the motor is tilted towards the center of the chassis this gives it a lower center of gravity and makes it better balanced.

You got a point there Foxy with the more powerful modified engines with the orientation of the motor, will torque steer become a problem??

not with this!
that is caused from some lame setups in the chassis not because of engine layout
this is like the 8th scales but bigger

You are so wrong my friend. Fun and silly to armchair quarterback but you are FAR off man. These trucks are TUFF! Will they break, sure....but stronger than you think. Just wait!

We are posting images and video here: http://largescalenews.com/2011/09/ls...ajafest-in-ny/

But there are more images and video coming. This truck is a beast and you will watch video and be surprised after this weekend. Craftwerks-RC is getting some killer HD footage and we will share it on youtube after some edits. I will post back here so you can all see.
