Going to be hard to fine anything for $100 and sure will not get anything worth while. I recommend you save up some more money as in my opinion and experience there is no substitution for a good radio and servos. In the long run you will come out cheaper with a good set up then the cheap stuff!

Agrred, pay for good stuff once - pay for crap time and time again. There are good radios on the market and to be honest, there are some that "go out of fashion" but not really out of date - I still use the 3pk and the 3pks and they're mint.

I would go with a HS-5643MG for throttle
http://servocity.com/html/hs-5645mg_digital_torque.html
and for steering the HS5755
http://servocity.com/html/hs-5755mg_servo.html
I run a 4200 battery pack

my son just got this body from pro line and it is thicker
