Default My FG Jeep 4WD.

Hey guys, just had some free time this weekend and decided to work on my new FG Jeep only ran it once, decided to give it some life and worked on the body, still didn't completely finish yet as I still need to install the wipers and mirrors, just were quick pics of what I have done so far too bad I didn't have a professional cam so I just took them with a regular camera....as soon as I finish it I will post pics outside.

Very cool looking! Do you have lights on it? I see some wires in front of the bodyposts that might be for that use

Yes I do just the front lights; but in the future I will try make a lighting system for the 4 on the roof; do you guys like the back cover and the snorkel....lol the back cover is still not 100% done yet its still needs some adjustments so it will be a perfect fit.

Oh yes, i like the attention to details here with the snorkel and the cover That would be cool if you get lights in all the buckets around, and also some rear lights.

I want to make a front bumper out of steel; and see if I can make a dual exhaust using the stock exhaust can; don't know if making the a bit bigger diameter for two pipes will increase the performance.

I guess you are very lucky if you notice any difference in performance at all. Extending the pipe from the stock exhaust can will in fact decrease performance a bit. How are you going to design the pipes? Are you going to have them at the back of the car, or on the sides sticking up in the air?

Well thats the thing if it will decrease performance I dont think I will do it anymore, I was thinking of two pipes from the back, one left and one right.

Ive also fixed up the suspension, the first time I ran it the car was just so stiff it had more of an onroad setup than an offroad, it didn't absorb the impacts like it should and it was bouncy so I decided to check it out. I used some Tamiya soft silicone I had left and removed the stock silicone that came with the shocks and man that silicone was thick!!!! Once I changed the silicone, what a big difference the shocks became so much softer, also removed the stablizer bar at the rear so it can have more travel at the rear, stabilzer bars should only be used for onraod in my opnion. I also realized therear is a bit stiffer as they used harder springs than the front, but once I get it out there again I will be able to tell, but I am sure the results will be good.

I was going to take pics outside today; but it was raining like crazy; but here is a quick pick of the final work of the back cover snorkel and all the small details on the body; will take outdoor pics soon....I wont be able to run it yet because I am still waiting for a steering servo to be delivered.

Thanks, there is one last thing I wanna add a front bumper. I am also excited to see how the suspension acts now with the new setup.
