5,5:1, exactly the same as on my FG as i have borrowed the gears from it to get the right mesh So now i can change the gearing "the right way", like 16/48, 18/46, 20/44/, 22/42 and so on so i know it will mesh up properly like on my FG.

The bearing holders where the bevel gears are have you seen before, their earlier life was the first batch of steering knuckles for the [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/fb.asp?m=8865163]Capri[/link]

At first i was going to make it conventional, but i ran into some space-issues so i thought "let's try this" Now i am going to make some kind of swaybar setup in front, as it has only one shock it will easily roll. I notice it when i wiggle the car from side to side that the only thing that keeps it kind of stable is the rear suspension.

I started on the front sway bar today, for you who have seen one before you know what it will look like in the end, for you who don't, just keep on wondering about it for a little while I have also moved the servo to the opposite side for practical reasons.

Sway bar is finished! It works just as planned. Going to try to get some rubber bellow to cover it up with as i am going to have grease inside the ball an cup. I also had to do something with the front of the body, i took out the lights and used the covers that came with the buckets and made some decals to fit. Now the car has the look i always wanted

Wow! That's a missed post! Where were you then?

Here are some more pics, i have done a lot of work to it during my downtime with my computer. I have made the front calippers, but the discs and brake pads is FG ones. I also made a bellow on the front stabilizer so i could put some grease inside it in order to move more smoothly. I have changed the steering rods from 8 to 6 mm as they got way too beefy. And i have made the front body post on which the body will be mounted.

A few days in Oslo, then went up the hills and down the Flåm railway.
Stayed in a little cabin right on the fjord in Aurland for a couple of days and then on to Bergen.

Shoot! I live 40 minutes from Bergen city, too sad i was out of the country at the time. And i also live by the Oslo-Bergen railroad AND the road Would have been nice to catch up!

Well, here's some more pics! Had to put on some exhaust wrapping on the pipe as the plate under the front windshield came very close to the pipe, so this is done to keep it from melting or get warped. The airfilter is originally a cranckcase breather filter i planned to use on my 1/1-scale Escort, but i never got to install it before i sold the car. So now it's got a new life in an Escort 5 times smaller than the original I also managed to squeeze in a small gas tank which i have modified a bit.

Looking good mate!

Is that micro switch at the servo a kill switch, or is it for brake lights?

Here are some pics from the drivetrain and other details. I went for chain and sprockets instead of the angle drive which i initially was going to use as the pipe was much more easy to mount with the engine the "normal" way. I have also replaced the links on the rear (as they were very sloppy) with those earlier used as steering rods.

And some pics from the rear stabilizer and fuel filter mount. I have also used a ball-link to mount the pipe with, it can be used for more than just suspension mounts!

I have made a reverse module for the car now, i was first going to make it with the parts of an old battery drill and some stuff, but it got so complicated at the end that i desided to go for gears instead. It is operated by a servo on the 3rd channel from the transmitter. So here it is! Please ask if it is something that doesn't make sense

A 1 tooth dogbox! lol That's a great idea! Maybe it is the angle of the picture but in the second picture (top view) it looks like the dog gear is still engaged in the forward gear when it starts engaging in the reverse gear, in other words there is no neutral in the middle. I am trying to imagine this operate and it seems (to me, maybe I am wrong) that this will make it harder to engage, because while it will be trying to grab the reverse gear while rotating slightly, as soon as it will try to grab, it will still be slightly stuck in the forward gear, and kind of binding. Do you see what I am trying to say ? Whereas if they were just distanced enough so the dog gear cannot touch to both gears at the same time, it would allow the two gears to rotate at different speeds just before engaging, making it easier for the speed to sync and snap in place.

Maybe it is already all good and the pic makes it look closer though that, or maybe I am wrong too hahahahah

Are you going to mount the middle dog sliding piece movement with a spring? It would allow the servo to go say in reverse, but still allow the dog piece to not be in reverse mode until the gears start moving and the pin aligns. Say if you are not moving, and engaging reverse, the servo would not struggle trying to push the piece, but only keep a tension so the dog is ready to engage when aligned.

I find the whole idea exciting and can't wait to see the first vid of reverse testing!!
