I thought I'd keep the thread going by reporting in with another Escort (mk1) shell here in the UK.
If I remember right I bought it from Jari in Finland, back in 2015. My plan was (still is!) to put it on an HPI Baja.

Before doing that though I really want to take a vacuum-form of the shell, so that when the inevitable happens, I have a spare

I asked around a bit at local commercial vacuum forming companies as I reckoned the size would mean going that route would be easiest but didn't really get anywhere. I think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and build my own vacuum former...

I should probably dig through the posts here to see if Claude / @spitfireV has described his setup - he seems to get good results at this scale and I'm sure I could learn a huge amount from him!

I think my profile has about 9 posts so far (typical!) so I'll post a few more and then I can include a link to some pictures of mine. This has motivated me to dig it out and make some progress
