this is popping up on all the forums, is it true? not sure as i can't find any corroborating evidence but there are apparently a couple factors in play, cash flow problems and/or divorce of Mr & Mrs FG
if it is for sale hopefully it stays together and they hire some new people in r&d and design something completely new for a change

they cant just stop completely they will have to sell it to keep things moving for everyone using their stuff , there is too many people in the hobby in racing clubs and other that are using their cars it would be a crushing blow if they were to stop production .

Pretty sure that Frantz isn't married or have any kids....
Also something new....
They releashed a complete line of new cars a couple of years ago...
The new Leopard is a full blown racing buggy, with as good geometri as other big names in the racing scene.
They also released some Electric cars...

no,as i stated i have no corroborating evidence it is just a rumour that is floating around
and yes something new, the offroad cars have used the same design chassis since day one, extending it 35mm, throwing on 4wd, new shocks, a arms or whatever and a new body doesn't constitute a new design, just an update of the old car....they are the Porsche of the rc world

The best thing to do when a rumor is flying around, is to go directly to the company (or to whom it concern) the rumor is about! Shoot them (FG) an e-mail and ask them

A friend of mine over in England sent a email to FG and they confirmed that they are closing the doors and putting the business up for sale. I hope Serpent buys it.

Someone from a uk forum contacted fg and they replied to say they are closing business end of march and as yet no deal has been sort for someone to takeover, so as it stands fg are closing down end of march. Elcon models also confirmed this when I spoke to them about iI :-/
Rumour has it this all began when mrs fg found out hat mr fg himself got cought playing away from home! Whatever the reason tho, a damn shame, fg imo are still the besr out there in terms of reliability and simpleness :-/
@ foxy.. If your serious dude, get in contact with them, ya never know ;-)
