Default LOSi 5iveT upgrades

Hi guys, i am quite new to RC world. And I am planning to get Losi 5ive T. after all the research it seems to be quite a good 1/5 scale car. Durable, good speed and handling. I am planning to buy Kit version of it.

I would like to make it better car in terms of durability, speed and handling. on top of the 1000$ that it costs i am prepared to spend up to 1000$ more to make it better speed, highly durable because i like bashing and better handling. Please let me know what are your recommendations.

If there is a expert drivers here ready to consult me over the skype and help through the building process and overall research to choose the best upgrades i am ready to pay consultancy fee as well for the help.

By the way is there expectations that LOSi will produce new version of the 5ive T or?

Thank you very much

i dont think there will be a new version anytime soon- for the truck to handle better, you just need to learn to drive it. $1,000 will probably get you a new motor(not full mod), pipe, gears, and maybe some aluminum bits(chassis braces)...

Thank you Savagecommander for the reply. If you know any expert. Who could guide me step by step on building the machine, it would be great. I am also planning to get HPI vorza flux electric buggy . And of course to upgrade it for better handling, and durability. These are the two cars i am planning to get and upgrade.

There's no upgrades that make a vehicle handle better, even shocks don't necessarily make a vehicle handle better. The driver and the tuning of the vehicle are the keys to handling. The weight of the shock oil and the spring rate of the springs make more of a difference than the manufacturer of the shock itself.

Everyone (or close to it) on this forum is here to help. But finding someone to do what you're asking is unlikely. I recommend getting in touch with a distributor. Tell them your intended use, budget, goals, what you're comfortable assembling etc and have them put together a package for you. A distributor like Dave's Discount Motors, TGN, Large Scale, should be able to do that for you and give you some support after the sale as well.

There are tons of upgrades to increase the performance of the 5iveT. Not cheap, but ----------
