Default Broken Flywheel

New to 1/5 scale gas cars,

How common is it to get a rock into the flywheel area and shatter half the cooling fins?

This happened to me today, on a Rovan 305T, and just wondering if this is a common thing to have happen.

I noticed the flywheel is made of cast pot metal, and looked for a billet version, but can't seem to find any. Since I can only find the cast version, should I order 2? Thanks.

very common unless you do the outerwares cover or some kind of home made screen mod you will keep breaking fins .

Besides a new flywheel, and kill switch, I added some metal fine mesh screen around the flywheel housing to keep rocks out!
