Default Zenoah 2 Cycle Oil

Does anybody run the Zenoah 2 Cycle Oil in their Car/Truck/Buggy? How is the performance? Is it good? Does it have a lot of carbon buildup? Is it really made by Zenoah?

Any input would help.

I run Echo oil and premium fuel in every two-stroke I own. Never a problem with tar or carbon, just keep the mix fresh.

How long does 2 cycle oil keep anyway? I was going to buy about 8 quart bottles and keep them. It may take me well over a year to use it all up (run about once a week). In other words, does 2 cycle oil have an expiry date?

It will be fine, it doesn't break down to say (not that i have found anyway), i have a 55 gallon drum of outboard oil that is 5 years old and we still use it for some outboards, and i put it in my weedwacker and chainsaw. I run amsoil in all my cars, i bought a case of 8oz bottles and i have had it for a year.

Kirkie, it's the GAS that goes bad. Unmixed oil will last practically forever as long as the container is closed.

Once mixed with gas, you want to go through it as quickly as possible.

I dont think the Zenoah oil is made by them, I believe it is made by or for Horizon Hobbies and Zenoah just endorces it, it seems to be a good quality oil, but for the most part any top shelf Synthetic oil will do the trick. I have been using the Zenoah oil in my MB and have used it in my gas boat, seems to work fine and have not noticed any buildup..

The Zenoah oil works just fine. I run a 20:1 ratio in all my engines, with very little buildup and no plug fowling yet.
