Default Engine upgrade in duratrax firehammer

Does anyone know if you Can upgrade the engine in the firehammer to the Sikk 29cc engine? Or can the stock engine be upgraded to a bigger one? Thanks.

you can do the g260 upgrade, the 27 or the 29, the 27 is a better motor for our use.

rpm.
the torque diff is unusable, but the usable rpm curve is much better in the 27. they are the same motor with exception to the crank.

A pipe will make a larger diff then any of the motor changes. all of the FG pipes will fit, including the Samba Line.

Who makes the 27 you're talking about? Zenoah? I was thinkin of turning a firehammer into a sandbuggy with paddle tires(not sure where to get those tires though). Do you think the 27 would be powerful enough for this type of application?

Ive driven in dunes and also on a pebble beach. My monster tyres didnt struggle at all.

The only down side is all the cleaning after running on sand and digging out all the stones after running on pebbles.

you for got the 28cc..... get the 29 engine swap the crank from the 2mm stroker to the 1mm stroker...shave .020 off the cylinder base flange and reset the port timing. dont bothet with the stuffer crank at very high rpm the epoxy tends to come loose
