New Monster Beetle in town!
Hi guys, i finally got me MB today.
Just a qiuck question, Should i drill a small hole in the plastic rim of the wheel.
And how can i fit the Multiplex Power Speed servo in the throttle brake section on the radio tray, because it is a little to big. Does this mean i have purchased the wrong servo.

The FedEx man cometh!
They delivered my MB today, and I felt like a kid on christmas morning opening the box, I could not believe the size of this thing when I saw it, my 1/8 scale nitro trucks are history.

The box is sure big! Even tho it, the Monster Beetle is based on the Marder, the box is a lot bigger and and the car it selft is a lots begger. This must be dues to the bigger 'dome' like beetle shell and the Monster tyres.
I am sure glad that i sold my marder race for this beast of a machine. I just can't wait to get it up and running with the body painted.

Regarding the drilling in rims ect.
When I talked to the Hobbythek (rc-car-online) shop owner he told me NOT to get foams and not to drill holes in the rims but in the tire itself.... yes I also stumbled at it at first, but he gave me a reasonable explanation (also based on his 15 years+ of experience with these cars + customer feedback)
Foams not needed. Any flatspots, if occuring, is gone after 1-2 mins of driving.
Foams + drilled holes in rims + wet conditions = 4 lbs. tires.. they will soak.
Hole in tire itself (foam inserted or not) will allow any water to get out again. If only drilling in rim then water / moisture will reside inside the tire. And they take A LOT of time to dry out and usually a foam insert will not hold its shape once it is dried up again...
So a proper glueing, no foams and hole in tire (2-3mm in center and one hole opposite the other) =
