Thank you all for the information. I just bought a set of OFNA rims and tires. Should give it a cool look. The fuel tank is almost done too.

RE: Anyone know what types of rims will fit a Monster Buggy
Boy I'm glad I found this thread.
I am a proud owner of a heavily used Traxxas Monster Buggy (as of yesterday evening).
I am currently bidding oin the CEN adapter and Wheels - Thanks for the tips.
Does anyone know how to fix the brakes on that thing? The servo doers not seem to have enough torque, or the lever flips over when I use a high torque servo.
Any other snart tips I could not live without?

So the cen stuff fits right on the fg axels? It also implies that the cen, mammoth and fg all have the same diameter exels?

The outside diameter of the axles are the same but the length differs. You could use the cen hexes on a fg vehicle but you would have to
A. cut the axle stub down to make it short enough to fit under the wheel nut (not really a good idea in my opinion)
B. find something besides that acorn style wheel nut or
C. cut the top of the wheel nut off.

The CEN Rims do fit but like the others are saying some modifications are needed. The easiest thing to do is use a nylon locking nut instead of the acorn nut on the CEN adapters. What I did was use the stock hex on my Monster Buggy and made a sleeve to fit on the axle and into the rim. Then I used the stock Traxxas nylon locking nut to secure the rim to the axle.
on another thought ... Has anyone dealt with Oneill Brothers for parts? I wanted to order an air filter kit from them but never heard back.

I have dealt with Oneill's, even overseas there has never been a problem. Sean is great to deal with!

O'Neill
I can give them a clean bill of health as well. Emailed back and forth a few times to get advise, ended up spending a lot less than I would have otherwise.
