Brand new 30.5cc big bore stroker motor
We just built a couple of new motors. They are 30.5cc's. They have a 36mm big bore kit and a 2mm stroker. I just test ran the motor and it has more torque then anything I have ever seen.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conversions:
Number Of Cylinders = 1 = 1
BORE = 36 millimeter = 1.4173228346457 inch
STROKE = 30 millimeter = 1.1811023622047 inch
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Solution:
Cubic Inch Displacement (CID) = 1.8634425300347 inch^3
Other Units:
Cubic Inch Displacement (CID) = 3.0536352E-05 meter^3
Cubic Inch Displacement (CID) = 30.536352 centimeter^3
Cubic Inch Displacement (CID) = 0.0010783810937701 foot^3
Cubic Inch Displacement (CID) = 1.8634425300347 inch^3
Cubic Inch Displacement (CID) = 0.030536352 liter
Cubic Inch Displacement (CID) = 30.536352 milliliter

I guess that price will be for a complete engine.
Here is the GP290 at DDM: http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product1017.html
2 mm Stroker Crank: http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product137.html
And then some extra gaskets to rise the cylinder a bit, to make room for the 2mm stroker.
I was talking to DDM about 3 months ago, and at that time they told me, that they where waiting for the next shipment, due around January/february 06, since the quality of the first shipment of GP290 engines that they recieved, needed a bit of improvement.
I went with the 29cc Race ported head kit in stead of the GP290 head kit and a stroker.

GP290 chrome $199 http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product1017.html
Clutch $29 http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product592.html
2mm stroker $40 http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product630.html
.040 copper base gasket http://www.davesmotors.com/store/product37.html
You would end up spending $277.50 at daves. Then you would have to completely strip down the motor and put it together your self.

RE: Brand new 30.5cc big bore stroker motor
Oneill Brothers Racing, even though you do not seem to have the dyno results yet, how does the motor feel?
I mean, I understand it has a lot of torque (yay), but how much does it suffer in the revs department? I have a Marder but still want a big engine for it, I have always liked the idea of "nothing beats cubic inches...".
I want one, but I just donĀ“t want to get it and find out later it just revs too low. Hey, a 30,5cc engine with a two-speed?! WooHoo!!! I have a gearing of 20/44 on my Marder right now, and it flies at higher revs. It just takes a little while to get there....the torque of a big block would be perfect!

RE: Brand new 30.5cc big bore stroker motor
To begin with IĀ“ll use my FG performance pipe. I suppose the engine could use a slightly larger pipe so maybe IĀ“ll enlarge the FG pipe later, weld in a piece of pipe at the thickest part to increase the volume. I havenĀ“t made any calculations yet as to how big it should be, all that is in the future.
An over the counter option is the RN Tuning fat pipe, from what IĀ“ve seen it looks like a perfect match for this engine..

stefan... you know the way to go is the fatty!
i dont believe the other pipes will enhance the big bore as this does.
i know o'neill dont market this pipe but from what i can make of it , maybe they should get involved.
it looks proper 'works'.....
