Default buying alloy front uprights need help

i have an fg mt and want to buy some alloy front uprights. should i buy the elcons or fg ones. i think they use the same size bearings. is one brand better than the other also i am going to get cable brakes later on will they mount to both easy. also hellya which brand of f uprights did you buy that you had trouble getting the bearing into. is there any other brands out there. and i would like to no you guys that have alloy ones which ones do you have and are they holding up good. thanks for any replys.

afaik Elcons are the the ones to get, tbh ive never seen the FG ones!

elcon have different size bearings smaller 8 x 16

Any brand can have a manufacturer defect mine were Fg

so fg p/n 6103/5 set accepts the stock bearings.

Yes, the bearings do fit. You can use them or FG part # 10470 for the front alloy uprights. Either one of them work for the Monster Truck.

Yes and cost for the set is what 1 of the eclon uprights costs[:@]

I'm using fg6103/6 which I got cheap (& unused) from eBay.
They are the ones that FG recommend to use with the tuning brakes on the monster truck.

I did look at the elcon ones but then these turned up at a good price.
They seem to be holding up OK so far.

The price for the Elcon Front Uprights is for a pair (left and right part#18402 &18403) less the bearings.
