Default zenoah zg22/g2d

i was wondering if there are any real advantages to using the zen,zg22/g2d in a large scale as opposed to the g230/g260rc1 engines?. i have looked at both pictorally, internally, and it looks like the zg22/g2d might be a much heavyer duty engine?? is this so,??

The G2D/ZG22 is an older and much less powerfull engine.

According to Alro Racing http://www.alroracing.com the G2D has around 2hp and the G230RC1/2/3 has around 2.5hp

G2D is a 2 transfer port engine and the "Newer" RC engines are 4 transfer ports.

I have a G2D (not mounted anymore, spare on a shelf), and there is really no comparison between it and a new engine.

New engines of any make are much more powerful. Besides, finding spareparts for it is a hassle too, since all bits are made for newer engines.

Like I said to a friend when he wanted to jump of a 30 foot barn into a haystack, "Don´t do it"

What did you go and say that for, how else are we going to find out what would happen?
