Default ELCON Cleon, a dutch design...

After a few years of testing, the Elcon Cleon is available now...

You have to build the car yourself (KIT)

Wow, what a truly beautiful machine.
I love the fact that it has to be assembled as well.
I always tear down all my prebuilts before I ever start them anyway.

Hm, my easter bonus usually goes to Holland, but this time, it's going to Elcon!! That will be some garage... an FG Monster, an HPI Baja and an ELCON Cleon. I'll have to start racing!

Beautiful machine, it appears that it is all race car, no bashing allowed sort of deal though, but then, we need serious race cars as well.

So, I'm afraid to ask, but....how much?

List price € 1898 in Europe
http://www.rc-car-online.de/cleon_eng.php

Comes without Engine and Electronics.

I like their Track Record.

Last 4 races they participated in had a Cleon prototype on 1'st place.
AND: an additional Cleon also on the Podium.

$2800 US, + engine and electronics, you would not skimp on a car like that so another $1000, shipping, tax, looking at $4000, thats a little steep for me, but again, I am not racing. It is an absolutely beautiful buggy, and I am sure it is all top notch. Elcon definitely has the skills, they weren't too creative on the name though were they ...Cleon...Elcon.....just rearranged the company name.....I'm just messin

I think the price is great, i have a alloy fg beetle and monster truck and it cost alot more than that to upgrade. Actually i have way to much in my hpi baja with upgrades to. I bet with the baja if you were to upgrade to all alloy you would also be way over the top in price to. I will be purchasing one of these this summer for sure. I would like to stick some monster tires on it and go rippin.

Ron over at krikke, just emailed me and yes it does include a pipe, it is a viscous diff, has the shock oil in kit, receiver mount. He said everthing but the motor and electronics. Does anyone have pics of one of these complete.
Thanks.
