Default Hitec 5955TG problem!

Hi,

I just bought a new Hitec 5955TG and installed it, when it started working it made a lot of weird noises, you can see this in this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7MIFXpa7Dw

I am refereeing to all of those who have this servo - is this normal? All my other servos never sounded like that, is your servo sounds also like that?

Thank you,
Tom

Not normal. I have used several of the 5955 and no sound like that except when the epa is overdriving the servo or something is stopping it from centering.
Send to HiTec they will exchange,

Funny thing is – You all say it is wrong, but when I’ve sent this movie to Hitec’s support they replied back: “THIS SOUNDS ARE PERFECTLY NORMAL”??? So I don’t think I can send it back to them if they are convinced that this is o.k… don’t know what to do?? Can it be normal?

if your talking about just the sound and not the movement,,yes thats normal,i though the servo was moveing all by itself with out any input,,you get a bad one once and awhile it acts just like yours on video the minute you put power too it.as far as the sound goes,,yes thats normal sound for a 5955

Thank you NdFrSpeed, I am talking only about the sound, the movement seems fine, it does not move without any input from the remote.
So if you have 18 servos and you say that the sound is o.k so that’s great!!! (just a bit noisy…)
