I wouldn't use those. Spend the extra money on either GRP or PMT tires. In the GRP's go with the A compound, with the PMT go with the 10 compound. The tires in that link, while they are a great deal, will not get any traction. If you spend any money on you car, spend it on good tires.

Arent pmt tires like $75-95 a piece....the XRC onroad is like $300-400...your spending as much for tires as you did for the whole car

Thats like buying a $1000 honda and putting $4000 rims and tires on it People do it but why

I assume you don't run on road... GRP A (rear) compound all around, PMT 10's or 15's are another good choice. You can try running the stock wheels and tires but it's going to get no traction. Your analogy of the 4000 rims/tires doesn't make sense... Tires are the biggest expenditure in on road.

My point is why spend 75 for 1.... when you can get 2 for 26 euoros ($40US) from lauterbacher 4 for 52 euros ($80 US)

Once again the US market has over inflated the tires....... prices that is

Only suggestting that one might shop around for tires before spending your money

The XRC does not come with Hydro brakes.
There are optional cable brakes available for it , you can also install Hydros if you really wanted to ,but spending close to $400 for brakes on a XRC is probably not the best choice.
They do come ARTR & RTR with a honda body kit.

A set of hydraulic brakes will cost you more than the whole car...

Thanks guys i dont race i just bash in parking lots.. and the stock tire suck unless you are in to drifting because they do not hook up one bit .. so i will spend the money on the tries so i can actually get some run time in that doesnt envolve me spinning out in evey turn..

so were can i get these tires in the us ??? and what style rim do i need to get to fitmy car ? i am very new to 1/5 scale..

as for the question about the car over all for the price i love it.. i got it on ebay for 400 shipped brand new still in the box.. for a starter car it is great .... and for that price it even came with the optional front brakes cables installed.. only problem was the stock steering servo sucked and the case evn cracked on the first run so i upgraded it and everything is fine now..

It's a crappy world where tyres are concerned, the best tyres - PMT and GRP - are designed for racing and do a fantastic job with a well set up car but they are expensive for how long they last. The cheapo kit tyres and things like FG black power are FANTASTIC for bolting to your car while it's on the shelf.

The sad fact is you need good tyres on a car that is set up right, you'll never know if your car is set up right if you use crap tyres. I don't know the XRC car but I'm guessing it's a plastic chinese import clone/copy type car which I'm sure might be good fun and value for those who don't want to spend a couple of thousand ££££'s on a decent on road car BUT if you want quality you'll have to spend the coin or get used to drifting and doing burnout/doughnuts.

Well let's find out how much $ are you looking to spend on your tires? It's a XRC car are you racing or just playing?

Many different petroleum based products soften tires. They are all illegal for sanctioned racing, but for playing around in the church parking lot.... There are specific compounds out there which I'm sure someone here could identify. I've spilled gas on a tire while refueling and was amazed at how gummy that part of the tire became.
