Yep,that's a lot of light.Kinda good deal for only 6 volts if you ask me.Here is the inside. Not finished yet.Requires a little more soldering...

What up mate??Long time no seen!

I've been super busy the last month and this one,i didn't even have the time to post or work on the car.Just did a few random quick reads on the site.Work caught up on me,and i was also been building a lighted water fountain for my girlfriend....Also put new clutch, pressure plate and light weight flywheel on my car and now i'm broke. The clutch-flywheel combo set me around 2000$ behind.

Anyways on the car.I redesigned the body posts.Converted them from plastic to metal.I have to mount them. Also a bright idea hit my mind.If all goes well,i will be able to get rid of the idle gear, the 2 sprockets, the chain and the idle gear base

Also, don't ever use aluminum gears. My second small gear and the idle are messed up.Couldn't handle the power and started grinding on it's other. That moment i became furius, and i also have a high temper[:'(].So i did a couple of laps around the parking lot with full throttle, the car moving around 20kph and a beautifull high pitching grinding sound, surounding the place!!!So i totaled the gears...Felt good though can't lie about that!!!

Also, made some plans for a 1/3 on road rc car.I draw the chassis, found the engine and sourced all the components. If i had the parts right now,i believe i would have it rtr in a couple of weeks. But i don't know....I don't seem to be very hot on this project.Mainly because i think why to make such a big car?If i was gonna,i could make a go kart and drive it myself. But then again,i'm sure i wouldn't resist the urge to drive it on the street!!!And i'm with the cops already up to my neck!!!

idk...idk....

Hey Giorgos, just a question

Is that axle 1/2 inch?
And how do the wheels attach to it?
If there's a pic of that somewhere in this thread could you please repost it for me?
I'm using the exact same bearing setup as that by the way.

Thanks.

Hey DV,how is your project going?Unfortunately i'm up to my neck with work and i can't participate much.I would be glad to help you!If you need anything shoot me a pm because i'm on the board usually for 2-3 minutes at a time.

Now,we have metric system here. The axle until the bearings is 25mm,after that is 18mm and after that is 8mmif i remember correctly. The 8mm section has a bolt pattern and i have made cnc'ed squares to bolt on.Very simple actually.I'll check if i have a pic.If not i'll take and post one tomorrow.

Lars, that little cnc piece is the solution to my transmission problem. This way i will terminate the idle mount, idle gear, idle sprocket, rear sprocket and chain! That's a lot of friction and weight to be taken out

Suddenly now it became very exciting, sounds like the car isnt going to move back or forth at allHaha! We all remember when the wheels was turning the wrong way, dont we?
Thank God for the metric system! Then we can speak the same language,Giorgos

Hahahaha, yep,we do!!!!It was very frustating at the moment, but i'm thinking of it and laugh!Good times bro!!Oh,and metric system FTW!When i read this forum i read all these about inches and i'm lost!If i have to understand something,i have to go to an inch to cm converter every single time[:@]!!

As for the car,i definately need a new chassis!Mine looks like a swiss cheese!I got to get my ***** to the bank to make a paypal account to order that 6061 chassis finally!!Also i have made the list needed to convert the car to dogbone drive and double wishbone suspension. But i'm torn between...Go for it,or keep the money and buy a truggy that i want so much???You know that FS 4wd truggy looks extremely sweet to me!I would only change servos and make homemade lower alu wishbones and call it a day....

I started rumbling again huh

Hey hey hey I'm used to the metric as well guys.
After all I'm european originally, but it just so happens that the axle I got is 1/2 inch (about 12.7mm).
A lot of things are still talked about in "the old" measurements here in Australia though and I'm learning slowly slowly.

Damn bro!!!!I havent seen that gear mount on yours!!!Because when i was building mine,at the moment i was using the idle gear.So my eye didn't hit on that mount!Nice mount Lars,if i had seen it earlier i wouldn't had driven down to the cnc

No no,the broken wheel is from the tool i use to cut the alu.I don't know it's name in english.I'll get another one tomorrow. It's only 2$

Naahh,is it maybe grinding wheel?

Ok,so it is "two minds, same thought" about this mount i guessI have plans to put a differential there, but it requires a larger rebuild of the gearbox and axles. And use of a lathe which i dont have[>:]
