What’s the Best Air Filter?
I’ve got a Cone Style Air Filter, I’ve read that they aren’t the best & may let very small parts of dust through.
Any suggestions what would be the best filter to stop any fine parts through??

Any kind of foam filter would be better than the K&N-style filter(these are mainly for onroad use),use a pre-filter to get even better filtration

RE: What’s the Best Air Filter?
Here's my current setup:
DDM filter with the stock Baja oiled foam filter and cage inside.
Works great, no dirt gets by and is a heck of a lot easier to service when compared to the stock setup.

I run a firehammer filter and a baja filter .....same design ...inner and outer filter.......dual filters
look at the dirt it keeps out[X(]
Now look at the inner filter clean as a whistle

Vince, Nice work.
I’ve got a tall V-Stack with Cone Style Air Filter & Outawears cover (all came with truck)
Going to look at using existing Cone Style Air Filter with Baja oiled foam filter and cage inside & Outawears Cover.
Should this be ok??

RE: What’s the Best Air Filter?
you asked what was the best air filter/
what truck are you running.
if you are running a Baja than the stock airfilter properly oiled with a tgn outer filter and outerwares filter cover.
somebody said something about a di fferent filter that was easier to put on and take off.
Do you want ease of removal and instalation or do you want the best filter for your motor.
the stock one does protect the engine best from dirt and sand.
yes some of the other air filters are easyer to use but they don'y protect as well.

twinair ones / rn tuning are top products.
It depends but foremost on a good oil you use and also how well you pay attention when oiling it...
I think this is way more important then the type of filter.

just rotate the filter assembly while putting the cover on.
little on than rotate put a little on than rotate.
keep doing this back and forth and it will get easier as you go along.
this is the Best filter system there is.

RE: What’s the Best Air Filter?
Best setup for an FG was the stock filer with the FG cone cover over that. (FG#6464/2) $20 for the cover and you are set. I've had this setup al year long through rain, snow, dirt, mud and dust. I ran my Leopard Race once with 4LBS of mud on the chassis and nothing when into the air filter. Regular foam and fabric covers would not be able to do this.
