Hey Mudgy
Yeah going pretty well mate. How's things in the 'Castle area? Got that rod finished yet?
I haven't had much time to be doing anything lately. Been flat out with work like everyone else. Picked up a Stinger 609 off Mick because it was too good a deal to let go back to the States, but other than that I've been pretty quiet on the rods and scale cars, I sold off a heap of gear recently and some of the cash from that well and truly paid for the Stinger. It was perfect timing.
I kept the 34 gear and a few of the engines, so I'm looking forward to getting a Conley into one of the frames, Have you seen this one?.

A little nugget of truth for all the followers of Mike Casey
You will recall ages ago, before he deleted it from his website, that there was a discussion about the Rick's R/C truck, wherein I said there were two of them built with similar looking frames because I had seen a photo of a second truck. Casey told me, and everyone else that I was wrong, as he said he'd discussed it with Rick himself and there was only ever one made. He claimed no other truck was built even remotely similar.
Truth of the matter, Casey was talking out of his ass as usual. He made up 90% of the so called "fact" he sprouted on his website.
He just didn't want anyone to know that there was another similar frame out there, because he wanted to try and get it off Rick before any of you did if Rick ever decided to sell it.
Judge for yourself.......if there was only one of them built, then this first photo above must surely be photoshopped since the two trucks are in the one photo.

I was going through some old photos from pre-2010, and came across this thing.
Mike Casey had posted it on QSL back in 2009.
Can you believe the ego of a man who types that heading on a photo, and then pictures himself in the centre.
He actually thinks he was a contribution to the Quarter Scale Hobby, He never built anything. He thinks he is a "Legend" of quarter scale......hahahahahahahaha....cough cough.....hahaha......sorry I nearly choked to death laughing. LOL.

In my archives, I keep links for 90% of the photos I come across, a copy of the post that went with it, and the photo so I know where to go back and find them
This was the link to that photo....
http://www.quarterscalelegends.com/b...=350&view=next
and the screen shot from the day...

I'm still laughing.
Surprisingly, a lot of the photos that used to be on the net are no longer there. Looks like they are buried in archives that few will ever get to see.
