RE: fg monster rims and tires
I have both FG MT & MCD 4wd, I tried to mount the FG tires on my MCD but the axle of the MCD is just too short, after mounting the tries there is not enough thread to close the screw, I guess that if you will replace these axels with longer ones you will be able to mount the FG tires on the MCD, still I think that the MCD tires are much better, bigger, wider, better grip & the new ones comes with inflation valves so you can adjust their compound.

I know that FG ST don't fit. I'll go and put some MT on the baja 1000 I have here and see if they fit.

that he didnt say, but he said it was a close fit. you just go dep enough to get some threads to stick thru. im not sure but you may even have to run mcd nuts with the grub screw in the as well.i will try to get over to his place and pick his brain some.

Here is a picture of the MCD that speedy.d was talking about. The rims do require a small modification. You will need to use a counterbore tool to bore out the outside of the rime where the nut holds the wheels on. It must be taken down about 1/4 inch. The counterbore works best, because it leaves the hole flat on the bottom for the nut to seat on well. A drill bit will leave the hole with a taper at the bottom & I'm sure that would not be good. This mod is required on EVO2 & 3 models. On gen 1 suspension the wheels will bolt right up with no mods needed.
