Not alot of options for the rims, stockers, proline, or alloy ramtech's. Some one is working on a new stronger plastic one thou. Silverback rc is doing them. As far as tires go, you can't beat the hostile hobby's tires. They are truely the best on the market.

I'd avoid alloy rims unless you're going for looks and will be running mostly on road. They're heavy, expensive, and you'll get mad when they get scratched up.
I've found the proline wheels to be a bit stronger than the stock ones, and either are cheap enough to replace as needed.

fully agree. composite molded plastic are very good , it can survive harsh landing. vs. alloy, once it bend, it stays...
alloy would be nice for show trucks etc.... though maybe very ideal for onroad racing for cornering.
