it a good looking chassis , id expect its cost will be $490 plus , there is that carbon fibre baja5b shell that sells for $350 and thats just a shell , plus all carbon parts cost is exagerated even the small parts cost a fortune , id rather have a strong ultra high quality plastic chassis than an overpriced carbon chassis .

Well apparently Pro-line themselves are claiming around $150, If anyone can they can, they have economies of scale working in their favor, buy materials in bulk, do large production runs and spread costs over more units. Hopefully we'll see this all come true, definitely can't wait to get mine!

If work picks up I sure will be getting one as my next phase on my 5B SS is a diet. $150 is not a whole lot more then what a stock chassis sells for. [X(]

I was lucky after bidding on many new chassis for a spare on eBay won one shipped for around $70. Here is the states they list for $120 to $130 for a stock one.

im just going based on the common cost that we usually see with high priced carbon fibre , $150 sounds too cheap but if they do make it that price congrats for them , go see how much a carbon fibre rear wing costs for the 5B its just crazy compared to $10 for a plastic wing , thats why for a very large item like a main chassis made from carbon fibre id expect to pay $500 plus

Keep in mind ProLine is not a little company working in a shop in their back yard and do things on much bigger scale which reduces cost. The CF chassis being made now by very small companies are selling them for around $325 so I see where a BIG company could sell them for MUCH less.

alot, you won't see much difference on plastic parts so going for things like CF beadlock rings won't do much interms of weight but if you total up all the aluminium parts and halve that weight that should give you an idea.
Also if someone was really slick they could make hinge pins from CF, either have them riding on bearings of sleave them in a thin brass tube. Same for shock shafts. I'd really like to see someone come out with a quality set of 6mm Titanium shock shafts BTW.

Did you bore out the holes in the arms a little so they don't contact the hinge pin? Would be a little pointless if thats not done, but all in all looks good.

The RPM warranty is only against manufacturing defects, its not a lifetime warranty against bashing so if they're fine then just go ahead and mod them.
