Very nice.

I like how you've got the pullstart on the outside.
And is that the fuel cap on the roof?

No need to take the body off to refuel and start.
Clever.

Yes you're right! This is the fuel cap butthe gas tank does not appear in the photo!

See you soon!

I just stumbled into this thread and have to say great job!

Not sure if you're using the same slide carb as in the above pic but I found an upgrade with more tuning was definitely helpful in [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8778985/anchors_8778985/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#8778985]my trials[/link]. Those FG wheels are so nice too. [sm=biggrin.gif]

Keep up with the good work.

Hello!

justmade a video to see the flexibility of the chassis with and without reinforcements.
This was recorded in slow motion which means that you can see some details that do not see a normal shooting.
The car still does not work is only a test!

Ihope you enjoy!

The video is cool !! you can really see the difference in stiffness. Very nice project by the way! I like how you made the large wheels and tires look like car tires

Do you have enough room to add 2 small "L" shaped pieces of aluminium that would go all along the chassis (longitudinally, sitting on bottom of chassis near the sides) I think it could add even more stiffness to the assembly.

Like this, imagine whilelooking at thefront of the car:

_L______engine here________!_

(sorry I can't make an L on the right lol) :

I don't know if my explanation makes sense (english is not my first language so I have to search my words!)

I am using a very similar engine in my project, what is the thickness of your frame plate ?

thanks for the tip!
I already have two square aluminum tubes at the bottom of the chassis.
I'll put here some pictures tomorrow from the bottom of the chassis.
Thickness is 5 mm and wheelbase is 640mm.

I've done what Frederik is talking about and it works great.
A piece of aluminium "L" profile and bolts every 80mm.
See picture.

Well done man, this build is awsome. Can't wait to see it run.

Just wondering, where did you get that rear sprocket from? (the one mounted to the diff)

You can also see here and you have much more choice!
If I also need any more sprockets, I will buy here.

Looks good!

One thing though - are you not using locknuts?
Or will you replace them when it's completely finished?

Hey on that other RC car you have a video of on Youtube, what did you use for steering on that one?
Actually a couple of pictures from the build process on that would be awesome!

Am thinking of building something a bit bigger next.

Maybe start another thread with some pictures of that car?
We love pictures here.

Cheers.

Hello!

Unfortunately I do not have many pictures of this car but I'll put here what I have.
This car had a serious accident, Iwasthinking about doinga new onethen Istartdismountedtheold oneto remove parts that they might serve in this new car!

Now some pictures.

I'll try to find some more photos!
This car has two servos hitec 805bb for steering but it was to slow.
I think in your case the beststeering servois the Tonegawa Seiko.
