It's a custom pipe that I made. Started off as a GoPed G460R or something along those lines and I chopped it at the welds and reconfigured it for the tank. The tank is pretty much ready to go. I need to throw in a radio and some gas and fire her up. We will probably fire up the engine this weekend and maybe throw down some carpet just to see her move. I did the blue aluminum treads for the show and would hate to scratch those up. We still need to do a professional photo shoot of the finished build.

Yep, you missed a cool show. Not much new as far as products but definitely lots of cool builds in the TGN booth. The little boy is the son of the guy on the left. That's Manny from Custom Street Toyz. We share a shop together so his son is around this stuff all day long.

Thanks for the kind words. Now would also be a good time to thank Manny from Custom Street Toyz. He was in charge of the color scheme and anodizing. He also assembled the tracks and helped with the chassis assembly. Each track link has 15 parts with a total of 90 links on the whole vehicle (1350 pieces in just the tracks). Thats a lot of parts to assemble. I couldn't have pulled this off without his help.

What's next.......? Each project I seem to one-up myself. I don't know If I could do that again. I do have something up my sleeve though that I started a year ago. I always wanted to do a four-stroke gas 1/5~1/4 crawler. More of a competition crawler than a scale crawler. In the past, all of my machined parts have been done with 2.5d machining. The crawler axles that I started to design require 3d machining. I have a copy of MasterCAM that I have yet to play with but I think it's time I learned how to use it so I can get started on this project.

Machining genius for sure.
I'll be interested in those axle plans...it's no secret that i want to do a semi scale full tube chassis formula offroad jeep that the crazy icelanders race up the sides of volcanoes...we got loads of gravel pits here to climb up the sides of...but to be true to form it really needs solid axles, skellengers are not an option ...so i'll be keeping my eyes open for your next project to see what you come up with.

You can see the drive shafts in almost every pic. They are the gray bars going across to the tracks on the rear end.
