Default No money , no honey but ...

Financial crisis , in Greece , put all projects in ... ice , but i can play with materials from the past .
I think that is a good idea to make parts from future projects ,as steering hubs.
I need a way to make these parts easy but special. So you can see it. Home made , always.

prototype

hot metal

...and the hub

and ready to race

Now that's impressive.

Anyone can just buy off the shelf parts and brag about them all day (saying no names), but this takes true dedication and skill.

The final result looks great.

Thanks guys.

genitor
: the mold made from Sant Bond , a industrial powder for aluminium foundry. This powder is the best to make qualitative parts but for few piecies , ideal for home made foundry.

sam 123 : I use aluminioum for lathe use (2024) or piecies from 6061 , 7075. These alum gives clear , without small holes , strong and with elasticity parts.

troppo : I made this foundry in BBQ and for 250 gr alum only. I'll make a bigger one , on wheels , for about 1,5 kg
alum. Maybe a video " homemade chape ,step by step" will give answerts.
