HPI Baja 5B Breaks

Hello!
I have a Baja 5b and really enjoy it. The only problem I can't solve so far is the breaks. I don't feel like they are strong enough. I'm using a HItec 645mg servo for the throttle and breaks and I've got the black piece at the end of the linkage tightened. Any suggestions to improve breaking?

there are other brake options other than the stock setup rcr makes really good brakes but they are kinda pricey.. check ddm.com or largescalerc.com
