Holy crap - That's a big engine on there! Is that size needed to make this thing go or did you want it to go wicked fast?

I like it...

By the way, what kind of servos do you use, must take some heavy gear to turn those skids in heavy snow.

cool, different i really like the idea of 1/6 scale quad with 50cc engine:D i like the snowmobile but it does remind me of one of those tarmac flateners you see repairing roads:)

neat machine..... what is snow???

fire01 10-05-2005 08:10 PM

RE: New 1/4 Scale Snowmobile!!

Well the body is being made as we speak and so are the sprockets for the rear track. There is still alot of testing and beating left to be done to have it bomb proof or close to bomb proof machine. This is heavy duty it will weigh about 50 to 60 pounds rtr and built like a tank,so it can handle any abuse.

The steering servo for now is a Hitec 5745mG and is working very well but our tests aren t all done yet.We might add a second one to relieve some stress.Or go with two 805bb wich have greater torque.

The disc brake is off your standard pocket bike and brakes like crazy! This will not be an issue i garanty it!

I can t wait to try the 125cc engine!!!This thing is going to be crazy!

Once i get more info, pictures and video i will post the news.;)

Mike@Accurate:

Where did U find those?

The belt driven Mini Scooter could be fun up here in Greenland
Unfortunateæy We have a US$ 4000 Tax on snow scooters/snow mobiles, making the small ones of those un interesting.

RE: New 1/4 Scale Snowmobile!!

Go to: made-in-china.com and search snow scooter. Then search for everything else the Chinese make. I could spend a week browsing there. MIKE

How about an update, I'd love to see the vid now that there is snow on the ground! I would rather just add appropriate servos to an Arctic Z120 or a Skidoo MiniZ and call it good! Lots of mods out there for those already if they aren't fast enough.

No, they are cheap, because minimum order typically is a 20' container...... Also, prices are without freight and taxes...
You CAN find high quality products made in China, IF you are willing to pay.

The concept of a snowmobile is pretty damned cool. Too bad the video wont be the snowmobile actually on SNOW. Shoot, sadly enough, there isnt much here either.
