Hi all,
Darrens update: Let me get straight to the point...

I have sold my Monster Beetle on ebay. So i am with out a large scale for the time being and maybe for a long while.

I am not sure if i want to get back into largescale again :(

For some of you this news will be shocking, but i have to sort somethings out in my life first before i doing anything like this again. Because i have wasted quite about of money on this hobby what with buying a Marder Race and only having it for 6 months, then selling it, then to buy a MB and keep that for 4 months then having to sell it.

This can't be right nor finacially good for me.

My "custom title" says it all Not Enough Money, Too Much Time

Guys, i will not forget all the help / commets and great advice you have given me other the past 2 ish years. Thanks.

I'm pretty new to this forum, i don't actually have a large scale RC.. YET

but why did u sell the cars, after only having them for a couple months?

Money was the main factor. Expensive hobby for a uni student. and we will leave it at then.

The great thing about this hobby is, when you are in a better position to get back into it, it will still be here.

Patience is a virtue, learn from any mistakes you may have made now, and do not repeat them.

Hey man, they´re only RC cars. You can always buy a new one later when the situation improves.

There are more important things in life than RC.

If you buy a new one later, well we´ll see you then.

Sorry to see you go but without finances it's hard. Get your school done, a good job and once you're back on your feet you can get another one. Maybe FG will finally have the 4WD ready too!!

I had to wait until I was 38 (11 years after finishing my degree) to afford to get into this hobby. You have to put your degree first so you will have the financial capacity to live the rest of your life and get back into RC when you get the rest sorted out.

BTW - Now that RC won't be distracting you, you better be a freaking honor student! :)

Actually i have quit Uni now, Long story. I know what i want and don't want in life. This has been a hard decission for me to make. One of my mums friends that she has spoken to said that i have guts doing what i have done.

I got £460 for the car + £25 for P&P (actually it was £26.50) whats £1.50?!
I got quite a few inttrests in it.
I had orignally put it on for £500, then droped it to £475, then £460 buy it now. and someone did. :D


I was more said to see my Marder Race go, than I was to see the MB go. I not sure what that means.

you quit uni??? why mate? that is a very big decision i hope it wasn't negative circumstances that caused you to leave? i graduated in 94' but i took a year out in 93' due to probs with the then mrs., i thought about leaving but i had already put 2 solid years in and learn't so much i ended getting my degree with honours and the rest is history:D

is it still your fresher year? maybe uni wasn't for you mate? all the best with your future matey

That's $ so £1100. I would probably want a full alloy FG for that with Multiplex servos and a very good radio set (everything in good condition albeit second hand)

Hey Neo - saw your add in this forum. Nice looking top btw - Good luck getting 2K for your kit. You might be better off selling your parts separately.
