getting ready to place an order for some front alloy uprights for my mt. which ones is better the fg or elcons ones. money is not an issue just want to get the best made ones. and will they both accept fg cable brakes later on down the road. thanks to anyone who replys.

deffo elcon they are the same as krikkie and much better finsh/quality compared to fg

I think that for the MT you can use the Elcon uprights, both with cable and hydro.

I know that with a Leo you have to go for hydro with the Elcon uprights.
Drop the user Apache a PM, he knows a LOT about Elcon http://www.rcuniverse.com/community/...m?memid=144982

The Elcon uprights are lighter and uses smaller bearings, this equals less unspung mass which should equal better driving...

Why does everyone call aluminum "alloy"? Its an ALUMINUM alloy. An alloy can be any combination of 2 or more metals, that could be steel and vanadium, or copper and zinc. Everyone needs to stop calling "aluminum alloy" parts "alloy", its just the wrong terminology, and it can cause confusion.

yeah, but I had a post in this thread that got the boot also. I simply commented on what a good deal was and if he had any good deals laying around. Not that I wanted to buy them. Oh well, water under the bridge. Hope Jimbo and Canadian_RC work things out. Thanks Hellya
