I am considering taking the primer bulb and asociated parts and mount them on my WT-257 carb, but will it work?

Probably...as long as that diaphram is under there it should work just fine

I tried it once and when I pumped the bubble it didn't fill with gas.

Then I won't waste my time trying. I will just have to live with a lot more than 5 pulls, when the car has been unused for extended periods.

When it comes time to replace the carb try a wt-488. It gives the same performance as the wt-257 and it has a primmer bulb.

we run them and they fly![>:]
