85mph FG at Irwindale Speedway, Cali.

This is a FG EVO2 with a Tom Bowlin modified ZenoahG230 and a SS535 body with PMT wheels and tires. We didn't get the speeds we were aiming for, but 85mph is pretty fast.
[:'(]

So, enjoy the video!

I'm not worried about the haters, we had the local news and Car Action there, along with multiple speed guns.

That is impressive, but i give a hats off to the guy driving it, damn good driver to hold those lines in those corners, one twitch of the hand, and it would have been nothing but parts on the wall!!

in our videos we use 2 radar guns and we used the same ones posted in there video, and in another video we used 2 diffrent brands of radar guns and we got all this the street was cold and the radar gun didnt work right, it was night time at night the radar gun does work at night BLA BLA BLA we posted a honest video and got ate up for it and on this thread everyone is happy go lucky those are the things i will never understand about RCU

either way man GREAT JOB on the car it looks great and from the video i dont dout for a second it pulled out those speeds keep up the good work man!!!!

Great stuff.
There will always be non believers here and everywhere.
Consider the fact that we have seen over the years so many off the wall reports of speeds that when its actually done we suffer "Chicken Little" syndrome. I truly think the reason that this particular incident is so well received is due to its presentation. It shows a properly groomed surface capable of the task as well as a capable vehicle. Add in the unedited video on a clear day with the proper camera angles on the car, track, and equipment and you have a much more believable record of the event.

Not taking away anything from others that are doing such great work but presentation of this event is why there is much less controversy over it then others in the past.

Now go do 90 someone PLEASE :D

Unofficially we went 93mph, but we blew up that motor at the 3/4 mile mark. We didn't want to make a claim, we could not repeat that day. The other motor we used was a backup.

RE: 85mph FG at Irwindale Speedway, Cali.

dave, I'm not hatin' at all, thats what I love to see, a super fast car 1/5th scale moving like a bat out of hell, remember, we're just a couple of regular guys running on the streets of miami, we're not pros in anyway, shape or form, in fact, I never have been to a track in my life, or ever plan on going. IWe really enjoy the street aspect of it. believe me. We run our cars at night because we have our own businesses during the day. We certainly don't get to use a real track like them. I am very happy with my fg baja. I actually beat most of the 10th scale with it, LOL, Again, I want to see more speed from the 5th scale community, cause I know we're capable of.

I'm glad to see the larger vehicles picking up some serious speed, but you need to fire the cameraman. He couldn't follow the car if you painted a neon pink dot on it.
