Thats a nice ride you have there. Yank the 23 out and either get yourself a ported 26 which will be a direct drop in or you can get a 27.2 but that will be a little more work. The motor will have to be taken apart for you to drop in the 2mm stroker crank. Either one will be a good choice. The 27.2 has a nice balance or torque and rpm.

thankyou for your reply sorry i delayed a bit to reply i was a bit busy.
i was thinking to buy a kit from dave motors ,27cc kit i think .but if you know any other good supplier i will be happy to check..i,m also not sure about the gear ratio i will try the car with a set of standard wheels and then fix the baja [photo] units.i think these large wheels will be a bit hard to spin with a 23cc.
thankyou
hope to hear from you soon.

Stock CY27cc will be spot on. 19 pinion to a 43 spur with 19 instead of 17 to the 49 diff. If all this makes sense?

You dont have to get an entire motor. All you need is a big bore kit. This will replace just the top end of what you already have. You can get a ported top end 26 from someone like Daves for 100 bucks. That includes everything you would need for a conversion and that would give you more than enough power and RPM. I know a lot of people like the CY motors but I keep hearing about plating issues inside the cylinder. Once the plating is gone, so is the motor. I'd stick to Zenoah.

zen 26 all the way. bolt on performance, and the plating issues with cy arent really that big of a problem, the advantage zen has is porting. cy copied their specs some tme ago and never revised- but if my memory is correct zen is on its third "generation" of porting.....

drop the coin, you wont be dissapointed.

i,m more accustomed to zen engines than cy as i own a couple of boats with 26cc zen .for me it,s not a problem with engines as i,m an auto mecanic .at the moment i will run the car with the 23cc engine but the 26cc or bigger conversion is next ,in malta we are running sikk engines 27cc they are hot and outrun a 26cc zen, but a zen is always a zen.
thankyou to all who replied to my question.

as far as i can remember the new tires & wheels in the pic are from the fg baja & are the same outer diameter as the stock marder tires..

sorry ratpower but you area bit wrong as the tyres in the photo are bigger than the standard ones as i own 2 sets of the original ones and the size is different .i don,t know from what they are as i lost contact with the seller i bought the car from.

Yes, the Baja wheels are taller than the stock marders.
