nope nearest race track to me is 400miles....

so i will just stick to my own track for now,what you see in the videos is as good if not better than most tracks,its huge....
i can get people in here to this place to race with me but i couldnt be bothered,time trials are great fun on your own,its always a challenge also,racing against others in your own ground nowadays is too much layout involved with insurance,people can be to much of a liability... lol

i am planning a day trip soon to craigavon raceways in the north,for a challenge agains others.

when i do i will get up a video,

Second time you've said that, so I just had to show you what you're missing. ;) Not trying to be smart, just saying... Imagine the fun YOU'd have on this track, only a few km from me... It's made with a specially treated asphalt, the grip that even the 1/5ths get is amazing...this is less than 1/3rd of the track you can see in the picture, the front (main) straight is nearly 50m, 1/5ths hit roughly 50mph before they have to brake. Drivers stand is 3.5m up, the firsrt pic was taken from it. You can hardly see the 10th scales on the back straight. Obviously it was designed primarily for 1/5th.

i have two huge straights on my place that you can litterly hit top speed for a nice length of time also.

i have seen all types of tracks...some arnt that big and have just one straight and lots of twists.....

i prefer short courses as its less problematic on engines......straights that are too long,say goodbye to engine after a while..

well ill put it to you lads this way,where i run my machines i have it all to myself so why not take advantage of it???

FOXY just to proove to you,my place where i run is equal if NOT bigger than this track in uk......

check it out..

you can do a lot to an area with markers and cones,and what you can get otherwise.......and trust me the level of grip where i run is huge if it wasnt i would be slapping in to kirbs the whole time lol cause its not as easy as it looks...

Man you really have done som great videos :) It would be nice to have your collection of RC cars. Is all yuor cars fully updated for the moment? Sorry if asking things that you might have said but I haven`t had time to read all your threads lately (sadly enough :( )

Man, your place is great, and BIG for top speed runs, but a track designed with different types of corners by professionals, to test specific skills (slow cornering, fast cornering, overtaking areas, non-overtaking areas, etc) is a different cup of tea, that's all I'm sayin. You have such great cars, it's a shame not to drive em to the track sometime, even if it is 400mi away. Make a trip of it, take the girlie, practice on Satruday, spend the night in a hotel and watch the racing on Sunday. :) And I'm sure I don't need to say it but GET VID!! :)

ill tell you there is an r/c fanatic that im great friends with in cork,he plays in a band and is a moderator in this forum here in ireland http://www.fmcc.tk/ his name here is gsi,now i was trying to get this guy to join here, HE HAS AN AWESOME collection,man i mean jawdroping.........everything from lauterbaucher to marder to fgs .....shed loads of nitro and he races 1/8th buggys and 1/8th onroads elec..he is tying to get me to go with him to race the elecs on the track....thing is we had a day trip planned a while back but was cancelled due to weather,thats the thing its unpredictable and it takes a lot of planning...

i am a registered member here.

he never joined here yet anyway....this fella sold me my fg comp chassis.

we are good friends and we are planning an offroad event (8 or more of us) and an onroad day trip to the craigavon raceways...

im just litterly waiting for the subject to be mentioned and plan it out with him....it will be mad.

the beauty of a proper race track is the podium which puts you in full view of whats going on also..

also want to mention that where i run mine i like the fact that its kinda hilly,and that gives me a great view around the whole area.
i may get involved in the 1/8th elec indoor also as there is a track for 1/8th buggys and the elec onroads very near me,be nice for winter.

thanks man,i am starting my new porsche 911 swb project as we speak,i have everything here and im piecing everything together here lol....

everything else is pretty much sorted,i need to get two sets of balldrive for beetle &amp; fg comp,also another set of hydros for my onroad.....man its an expensive hobby so cant be done overnight,sinse i gave up smoking and cut down dramaticly on the booze i can now afford it thank god......

That is one bad car :) I really love those Formula 1 cars. I have always wanted one myself (just to put on the shelf in the living room). What engine will you choose? I bet will look awesome with som alu on aswell [8D]

well waqr i suppose i will just have to settle for what ever way hobbythek prepare it as it comes with everything included,i may discard the radio gear and use a good futaba 3pm or similar,the servos from hobbythek are always first class,prob hitek MG set ups...

this thing is going to be really fast,cant wait to run it and get a vid up,they sound exact as the proper full scale f1 cars.

There is a drive like me in the video Foxy posted the one with the orange car that ran off the track when the race started. LOL [X(] Yes I LOVE F1 racing and if I ever get an on road large scale it will be a F1.:D

well 46 if you log in here at christmas there should be loads of f1 stuff.....

i wonder how that belt set up is as the newer comp versions seem to have the older gear set up....mmmm intresting....

id say they will be mental fast...
