ddm Dom V1 VS Dom V2 PIPE 5B

Im thinking about buying this version of pipe but unsure about which is better , firstly i dont like two piece pipes cos they leak black fuel oil all over the backend of the baja5b . Are both these pipes the exact same size ? and which one would perform better , i think the header shape and diameter size on the v2 is larger and better than the v1 .

the 2 piece wont leak is you have a big silicon coupler slipped over the joint sleeve...i got 2 VRC propipes and neither leak at the joint...also 2 piece is nice cos it allows a bit of flex and the manifold bolts stay tight..i found with 1 piece jetpros and doms the mani bolts constantly come loose cos of the engine vibration...here's the coupler on the VRC

without the silicon tube

and with......zip tie to cinch it down nicely and it doesn't leak at all

look at those crooks, it amazing what someone will do to make a quick buck. stealing someone else's ideas, aleast they could make something original. but that would be to much like work

anyway. i'm with moo on this one, with a silicone tube it shouldn't leak. and now ddm is offering a new tube with there pipes. they just sent me one for free, as a replacement one for the old style that wore out on me. either way, both pipes are great. i think the v2 has alittle more top end though

oh yeah i notified DDM a very long time ago about that , looks like nothing happened and they are still selling the copy's , or maybe they are not copy's i dont know , maybe oversize are buying 100 pipes from DDM at a good price and selling them on oversize to customers for a very good price yet again but i could be wrong , its tempting though for $89 , but man i dunno know i hate australia post they lost my damn $100 20x60 binoculars and i never recieved them but luckily the shop is gonna send me another free pair i'll see if it comes next week , hell if i got that $89 pipe it would take aus post maybe 1 month to send it to me from within australia.

ALSO i think the V2 looks bigger and longer than the V1 or maybe its my eyes playing up

DDM's pipe isn't what it's claimed, their v2 of the pipe is the EXACT concept I told them about, so if anyone stole anything it's DDM stealing.

lol i can afford the new vrc thats going to come out for the TS engines , my problem is i cant be bothered waiting for it too become available :D plus it looks a bit too ugly and if it dont come in chrome then i have to send it away to get chromed which will take even longer , but yeah the ol jet pro is a thought

that is something new...

RE: ddm Dom V1 VS Dom V2 PIPE 5B

Clubin once you run that VRC pro you'll run nothing else...best pipe money can buy..period..nothing else comes within a country mile for the torque, HP and revs the pro gives...and it'd spoil the look if you chromed it + the heat dispersal properties...made from 4140 so wont rust either.
splcrazy i'd wait...email Sean at OBR...he's the man who is responsible for the VRC pro series being made so will know when they're due out

yeah thats fine if you guys tested or have opinions on any other brand of exhaust pipe lets hear it , i dont mind if its not the topic . Yeah the VRC is a pipe that i keep going back to the web page and keep looking at it lol ahh well i might just have to wait till it comes out , but it looks exactly like the vrc sidemount that is available right now , so i dont know the vrc pipe designed for the TS engine must have a bigger header outlet diameter or something ?.

the gbe hornet is ugly too;)

yep same thing im in at the moment ,i dont want to see a massive TGN pipe hanging off the side of my 5b anymore , thats why im considering getting the ddm V1 or V2 it just looks a hell of alot neater with the pipe out of the way and all the way in the back of the 5b , i keep destroying the shell cos the damn sidemount pipe is in the way , i have to keep buying and spraying new shells cos im always cracking them cos im too lazy to remove the pipe . IM even considering geting that $350 aluminum car shape shell with this V2 pipe to eliminate the stupid lexan shell, OR just stop using 5b shells
