"MSD" Powered FG Marder

1 Attachment(s)
Here is some pictures of my "Drag Racer" that currently runs (4.339 e.t) in 330ft at (75.79 mph) and I'm only on my 3 1/2 tank, with more power to come as the motor seats in. It's a TS 30.5 "OBR" engine and on top of that,I'm running (VP C12) rated at 112 octane, with "Amsoil Dominator Oil". I hope you guys in enjoy the pictures :D

thats a sweet ride you got there!! quick ? tho. how do you get the MSD ignition to be timed right for your engine?

RE:

You have to use a "Degree Wheel" to set the timomg up. MSD recommends 25-29 degree timing BTDC and I have it set at 27 degree BTDC.

RE: RE:

ok i understand that part now that you said something about a timming wheel. so how dose it "MSD modular" when to send out the voltage? is it like a magnate set up like you would do with larger airplanes? what parts would i all need to do something like that? not saying that im going to do it to my stock 23cc engine but when i get a larger CY or Zenoah would make for a good winter layoff project.

RE:

You will have to buy the Ignition system. It's called the "MSD Kicker" and it was built for go peds for High Voltage and hotter spark with engines that uses high compression and race gas.

My friend had recorded the car a couple of times going down the track, but he has yet to send them to me. I'll try and ask him again to send them to me.

thats a neat hood scoop you've got up the back of it.

RE:

Thats a ram air induction for the motor so that the motor can have forced air in the intake.

very nice looking rig nate, , to get the best outta that mill i'd say that you should seriously consider the vrc propipe ,maximum ponies with more revs. they make an fg propipe now for the marder/monster[sm=punching.gif], Sean will be able to hook you up...here's the pipe...

I will be calling (Sean) Tuesday. But also, on another note, Sean told me that he was having David at "VRC" make them a new pipe for the TS Engine. This is not going to be a (Big Bore Pipe) it's going to be for a (TS Engine) only pipe that (Sean) said when he talked to David at "VRC" they told him, that pipe made over (7hp) and (3.50tq) which will make any TS Engine a total beast. Thats the pipe I'll be getting. I forgot to mention that that pipe is being made for the HPI Baja/FG Baja, meaning you can use it on both.

RE:

VRC already make a big bore pipe specifically for the TS motor, been available for a few months now http://powerslideracing.com.au/index...oducts_id=3165
this one is for the 5b so they should have no trouble doing a fg version.
