Default Engine Mounting Question

I have a 2 metre glider that I built an over the wing pod with a small IC motor to pull it into the air.
The first attempt to fly saw it being pulled towards the ground with full up elevator. A check of the incidences showed the wings, tail plane and motor all to be a 0 degrees.
For my next attempt should I angle the motor down or up by a few degrees?
Thanks
