Would you guys be interested in ready made 120" power systems if I made up a batch of them?

PS

No griping about cheap motors and spinners or wondering why I'm putting on $20 German blades on a $5 Chinese spinner.

Well, not to be gripping but...........I don't really want a cheap chinese motor, been that route with my two other electrics and it sucks. I would like a decent spinner and props. most importantly i want to be able to buy replacement parts when needed and not have to rebuy everything to get it to work again.

I was thinking of starting with the new OS 25 electric motor. Then i need a folding prop setup with adapter to fit the OS motor. Any suggestions on it?

Looked like the engine/folding prop combo is about $200.00. Ouch still a little too high. Oh and talk about ripping off another design.

Da Rock, go down to PA 45 spinner folding prop hub. This is what I use on my Bird of time. With a 450 watt (800kv) motor on 3 cells 15 X 12 prop. This set-up draws about 350 watts. near 60* launch, 45* easily.
The hard part is always the prop hub. I have yet to break any of my APC folding props, very reliable system with no holes through the fragile center.

Hope this helps.

So here's an additional question. If such-n-such electric motor says to use a regular 14x6 prop, would that include a folding prop or would it require a different one due to the folding mechanism?

Yeah, the same numbers apply to folders that apply to fixed. However, don't expect model props to show perfect consistency. Often the blade area has significant effect. So you might find one prop without much blade area to turn higher rpm and speed while the same size prop with lots of blade area to give more thrust and less speed. But don't bet on it. Prop labeling is just advertising. It's what the mfg hopes will be the results most people get.

''He''

LOL I know what you mean. I don't think the first photo is the real Kiwi Kid, I'm thinking that fellow behind the BOT is the real Kiwi Kid.

LOL you could be right. My BoT cruising around ridge soaring in 5 to 8kts last Sunday:
