That's excellent footage; most especially the glider's-eye-view. Must investigate the camera system which you used.

Today, we took our launching experiments a little further. Using a 2-metre glider, we successfully launched from the hand to the aerotow, using 2 crew. That is, a tug pilot and a glider pilot. Again, it worked really well, with no drama, despite there being nil wind. I can't wait to do some more.

I was flying the glider. The launch required just a couple of paces, prior to release. The tug was a "Panic", which worked out pretty well.

I agree with the cradle concept for the newbee flier, I think Tower Hobbies sells a kit.

I use to tow sailplanes with a Bud Noson 106" Cessna powered by a Zenoah G-45 gas engine, my tow line was attached to the top of the

fuse just behind the CG and was releasable... just in case.
